In only 30 months, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the African nation which receives more than one million refugees from the continent, the Global Solidarity Fund pilot project has changed the lives of more than 1500 ‘returning’ migrants, refugees and internally displaced persons. More than 70 percent of those trained by five religious congregations and coordinated by the Archdiocese, in tailoring, hairdressing, domestic help or leather cutting, have found work.
