Ndugu James Otieno Otieno, FMH, a professed member of the Franciscan Missionaries of Hope, entered eternal rest on Saturday June 13th, 2026, at the age of 23 years. Ndugu James was born in Kisumu, Kenya, on July 24th, 2003, and entered the Institute of the Franciscan Missionaries of Hope on July 15th 2023. He made his first profession of vows on 15th July 2025. At the time of his passing, Ndugu James was a first year student of philosophical studies at Tangaza University. Ndugu James was a dedicated and faithful religious, who lived his religious life with humility and a joyful spirit. He will be greatly missed by both his biological and religious families. Funeral Mass - June 26th 2026, beginning 10.00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Naivasha Catholic Church, Naivasha, Kenya. Interment: 26th June 2026, FMH cemetery, St. Anthony of Padua Novitiate, Karai, Kenya. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
